Privacy Policy

When you create or use an account, our authentication provider, Clerk, provides us with account information such as your email address, name, profile image, verification status, and authentication identifiers and timestamps.

If you use Wealth Clever to track your finances, we store the information you enter, including account names and types, currencies, balances and balance dates, and transaction descriptions, amounts, dates, types, categories, and notes. Please do not enter bank passwords, payment-card numbers, or other credentials. Wealth Clever does not connect to banks or fetch balances automatically.

We also receive information you send when you contact us. Our hosting and security infrastructure may produce technical logs needed to operate and protect the service.

We use this information to authenticate you, provide and maintain your account and financial overview, keep your records associated with your account, protect the service, and respond to support requests. We do not use your financial records for advertising, and we do not sell personal information.

Where data protection law requires a legal basis, we process account and financial information to provide the service you request; use information needed to secure and support the service for our legitimate interests, taking your rights into account; and process information where required to meet a legal obligation. If we rely on consent for a particular purpose, you can withdraw it at any time.

If you choose Google sign-in, Google and Clerk process the information needed to authenticate you. The Google connection is configured for basic identity information: your Google account identifier, email address, and profile information. Wealth Clever does not request access to Gmail, Google Drive, contacts, or bank accounts.

Clerk provides authentication and account management. Google is involved when you choose Google sign-in. Wealth Clever's application and PostgreSQL database run on hosting infrastructure managed for the service. These providers process information only as needed to provide their services to us, subject to their own terms and privacy notices.

These providers may process information in countries other than your own. The location of the application server and database depends on the production hosting configuration.

Authentication uses the cookies needed to keep your session secure and signed in. The site also stores your display-theme preference in your browser. The current application does not include third-party advertising or analytics tools.

We keep account and financial information while your account is active and as needed to provide the service. When your Clerk account is deleted, the service receives a deletion event and removes the associated user record and financial records from the application database. If copies are included in infrastructure backups, they remain only until those backups expire. We may retain information for a longer period where required by law or to resolve a specific security or legal issue.

You can update or delete individual accounts and transactions in Wealth Clever and manage your authentication profile through the account controls. You can ask us to access, correct, export, restrict, or delete your personal information by emailing us. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to object to certain processing or complain to your local data protection authority. We may need to verify your identity before handling a request.

We use authentication and account-level authorization to protect access to financial records. No online service or method of storage is completely secure; please use a strong authentication method and contact us if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.
